Field trip to study Pre-Engineered Buildings

In the modern age of continuous advancement, field trip helps students as well as teachers to update with the latest technology and materials used at construction site. Building Construction and Materials is a subject which necessitates the frequent field trip to comprehend the complexity and details of construction techniques at site. To elaborate the components and connection details of Pre-engineered steel Building, students from 4th semester, school of architecture were taken to field trip to nearby under-construction site for Ford Showroom. At the site, teachers not only explained the mechanisms of PEB installation at site but also additional members such as diagonal braces, composite staircases etc. which were difficult to clarify in classroom. Students enthusiastically observed the construction techniques and visualize the significance of PEB in current scenario. The trip was successful in both academic as well as practical way.
