The School of Computing and IT under RACIT Activity celebrated the " CSI Founder’s day-2019 " for the students of REVA University. The event was a collaborative work of Clubs of School of C&IT, namely CSI, ACM, Ideation and Project. Students from various schools took an interest and displayed their thoughts over the span of this event which comprised of 3 technical activities.
ACTIVITY 1: TALK ON “RESEARCH PAPER WRITING” This talk aimed at offering simple, concrete suggestions on how to improve writing skills leading to writeup of a research paper for submissions to National and International Conferences conducted within and outside REVA University.
ACTIVITY 2: IDEATION
Students were asked to form ideas or concepts. Students were made to go through brainstorming sessions on how to acquire and execute creative thinking methods / processes and develop an understanding of a cyclical process of design thinking to generate questions and solutions.
ACTIVITY 3: IT QUIZ (Preliminary rounds of TCS TECH BITES )
The students were asked to form a team of 2 members. They attempted a quiz set of 20 questions. A total of 40 teams took part in the event. The top 10 teams were shortlisted for Bangalore region IT quiz event conduction which is to be held at SJBIT on 21 March 2019.
The Director of the School, Dr. Sunil Kumar S. Manvi sir motivated students to Join CSI, IEEE and ACM as student members. He gave inputs to the students that would lead them to form networks with Technical leaders and shall endeavor them to Publish quality research papers, and apply for Copyrights and Patents.
We would like to Thank our Director, Dr. Sunilkumar S. Manvi Sir for his valuable time and guidance regarding conduction of such events. We would also like to thank our Hon’ble chancellor: Dr. P. Shyama Raju Sir, VC: Dr. S. Y. Kulkarni Sir, Registrar: Dr. M. Dhanamjaya Sir; Dean Training, Placement and Planning: Dr. N. Ramesh Sir, and Dean R&I: Dr. Divakar Sir.
We also thank the Faculty members of all the Schools for encouraging students to participate in this event and making it successful.
