Technical talk on Remote Sensing and its Application

The School of ECE had organized technical talk on “Remote Sensing and its Applications” on 8th March 2019 between 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm in Aryabhatta Seminar hall, C V Raman Block.

Dr. P M Shivakumara Swamy completed BE from Mysore University, ME from Karnataka University, Ph.D from Anna University. Published papers in national and international conferences, National and International Journals. Received “Best Paper Award” for the research paper Entitled “Image Compression and Reconstruction Using Modified Fast Haar Wavelet Transforms” at National Conference on Thrust Areas in Engineering (NCATE-2012) held on January 20-21, 2012, GAT, Bangalore. His field of interest are Embedded Systems, Image Processing.

Around 70 students from the School of ECE attended the Technical Talk.

The Technical Talk focused on following key points: 
1. Basics of remote sensing. 
2. Difference between satellite image and general image.
3. Resolution. 
4. Applications of remote sensing.
