About FDP

At its core, mentoring is about helping another person. The term mentor refers to somebody who advises, supports, and guides another in the right direction. Mentorship in educational institutions facilitates the course of students' academic and personal life trajectories. Human connection built on trust is the glue that binds students' academic and personal lives and helps them make sense of their futures; it's also the reason that most teachers enter education in the first place. A mentor can provide a student with personal support throughout the ups and downs of academia and reinforce a student's sense of resilience. In these pandemic times, mental health has become one of the most discussed health issues besides COVID-19. Transitioning back to in-person classroom learning is one of the challenges. This FDP is about equipping the teaching fraternity with all the necessary tools to guide the student community.

The sessions will be led by Dr. C R Chandrashekar, Samadhana Counselling Centre, National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences, Bengaluru, Karnataka, India
