The School of Performing Arts and Indic Studies, REVA University organised an expert lecture on "Parampara - the Rich Repository of Sanskritic Tradition" on 22 August 2021 to commemorate this year's Sanskrit Diwas. The lecture was delivered by Prof.Dr. Siddharth Wakankar ex Director, Oriental Institute, M.S. University, Baroda.
The informative lecture discussed the significance of literature written in Sanskrit language. Divided into parts the intriguing lecture reminded us that knowledge about Indian society is available in ancient texts like the Ramayana and the Mahabharata. The engaging talk was followed by an equally engaging Q&A and concluded with the vote of thanks delivered by Prof.RuchiraDatta.
This lecture reminded us of the importance of holding on to our roots especially since its relevance pervades our everyday lives.
