Diya Jalaon let there be light where there is darkness

Diya Jalaon let there be light where there is darkness

Diya Jalaon….let there be light where there is darkness….

One more message from the leader of the country as he leads us on through this period of darkness and despair.  Diya Jalaon campaign call!  Light has always dispelled darkness and darkness has always been symbolic with evil. Darkness indicates the gloom that we are all passing through as we fight the battle of Corona……it has been associated with suffering, misery and death.  Darkness is also captivity and this lockdown has made us all captives. Darkness also denotes the wrath of the Gods on us.

That we have been asked to switch off the lights of our homes, is to ensure that this is realisation time for all of us of the darkness that we are engulfed in.  It is an assigned time to stand in the dark and empathise with all those people who are in distress.  These are chaotic times for all of us.  In these times and the chaos in the world we need to get together and pray.  To keep us away from this darkness and to show us the light of hope, the Diya Jalaon campaign is all about lighting lamps, lighting a candle, using a flash light and so on…for this light will dispel the darkness around us.

Light has always been used to denote something positive and this light symbolises positivity, goodness and hope for the future.  Light can drive away darkness and so the hope is that this light will drive away from our minds the fear of corona as we get together to fight this pandemic.  These 9 minutes of lighting lamps will unite us together in this vast country as we strictly follow social distancing and yet connect with each other.  Just as we light lamps in our homes, or light a candle and pray, this simple campaign of lighting lamps for 9 mins on 5th April, 2020 at 9pm, will only increase our spirituality, sanctity and take our prayers together to the Almighty Divine.

Do spread this message strongly amongst your students and families and friends and let us get together and participate in the PM’s call for Diya Jalaon as we observe it strictly and also ensure social media participation by each of us at REVA is followed….
