NATIONAL SERVICE SCHEME (NSS)

The National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit at REVA University is an active platform for student volunteers to engage in community service, social responsibility, and nation-building.Established with the vision of developing the personality of students through community engagement, the NSS unit embodies the ideals of “Not Me, But You”, inspiring students to dedicate their time and effort to the service of society.

At REVA University, the NSS Unit functions under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, and actively involves students from various schools and departments. The unit focuses on instilling a sense of social commitment, civic responsibility, leadership, and team spirit through a wide range of outreach and extension activities.

    • Village Adoption & Development Programs

Sustainable development initiatives in nearby rural communities, including sanitation drives, education support, digital literacy, and healthcare awareness.

    • Environmental Initiatives

Tree plantation drives, campus sustainability campaigns, plastic-free initiatives, water conservation projects, and clean-up programs under Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.

    • Health & Wellness Campaigns

Organizing health check-up camps, blood donation drives, yoga sessions, and awareness programs on mental health, nutrition, and hygiene.

    • National & Social Observances

Celebrating days of national importance such as Republic Day, Independence Day, Constitution Day, and NSS Day with parades, rallies, and cultural programs.

    • Special Camps & Community Engagement

Annual NSS Special Camps are organized in adopted villages, focusing on socio-economic development through hands-on service, skill-building, and capacity development.

    • Collaborative Programs

Working with NGOs, government departments, and foundations on projects involving education, heritage preservation, gender sensitization, road safety, and disaster management.
