PROGRAMMES OFFERED BY SCHOOL OF ECE, REVA:
The School of Electronics and Communication Engineering offers B.Tech.., M.Tech. and Research programs.
The B.Tech. program in Electronics and Communication Engineering (B.Tech. (ECE)) is designed to give greater emphasis on core Electronics and Communication Engineering with the flexibility to explore in any one of the four areas like circuits and devices, signal processing, communication engineering and programming.
The program is designed to expose students to various subjects having applications in Microelectronics and VLSI design, smart system design, wired and wireless communication technologies, robotics and automation, IoT, information processing, security systems, control engineering, cloud-based applications, information technology and electronics-related industries through outcome-based teaching and learning process. The present world sees the rapid growth in the areas like, telecommunication systems, consumer electronics, computer-based designs VLSI and embedded systems. Large number of UG students take up internships during final and pre-final year.
With M.Tech.(VLSI & Emb.Sys.) students can intern with premiere core industries like Global Foundries, NXP Semiconductors, Spark Minda, Synopsis, Western Digital and others.
Career Opportunities:
Students who completed B.Tech. in ECE can work in varied domains like electronics, communication engineering, computer engineering for different sectors like healthcare, defense, aerospace, space applications, agriculture technologies, transportation, railways, civil aviation, etc. Work domains include electronics product designs, manufacturing industries and IT sectors. Some of the areas are communication engineering, signal/image processing, VLSI and Embedded Systems, broadcasting system support and niche areas like AI and ML.
In both the UG programs, the emphasis is also given to activities such as mini projects, seminars, industry exposure, cultural, sports and social outreach activities are in place to cater to the all-round development of students.
B.Tech. in Electronics and Computer Engineering
Interdisciplinary programs are inspired from two or more academic specialties that work jointly to create a formidable learning experience and accentuate integrative learning, critical thinking, and creative problem-solving.
REVA University’s B.Tech. in Electronics and Computer Engineering (B.Tech. (ECM)) program is designed to offer an interdisciplinary domain of electronics and computer engineering to meet the joint demands of both industries in today's world. Developed in response to the industry needs, this program promises advanced level knowledge and skills in the design of complex software-enabled electronic and microelectronic hardware systems and the curriculum has been specifically designed in consultation with technocrats from various industries.
In Electronics and Computer Engineering, the students are taught about design, the implementation as well as management of Electronics hardware, software along with the design of individual microprocessors, supercomputers, and personal computers to designing the circuit and creating software that powers them. The interdisciplinary courses of Data Science, Machine learning, VLSI and Embedded Systems, IoT, Cybersecurity empowers the students to take on a complex role in the industry as well as pursue their carrier in research.

NEW PROGRAMME LAUNCH – B.Tech. Robotics and Automation
Robotics Engineering is a field that deals with the construction, design, application, and operation of robots. Robotics Engineering is an interdisciplinary branch of Electrical & Mechanical engineering. Recent developments in the field of robotics have helped in bringing forth a new era of technology and myriad career opportunities.
Robotics engineers work with the science of robotics and make these programs or self-sufficient machines (also known as ROBOTS) for multiple functions and businesses such as production, automotive, services, and a lot more!
The primary agenda behind this is to program machines to do outdated, risky, or undesirable jobs. A robotics engineer usually works in the designing of these models, assembles and tests machines, and maintains the software that controls them. Robotic engineers are responsible for planning, testing, and building robots that are profitable, safe, and also easy to buy and maintain. Robotics research engineers plan robotic systems and research strategies to make them practical.
The newly launched programme by the School of ECE, REVA covers:
