I must express my sincere thanks to REVA University in bestowing the “REVA Life Time Achievement Award” on me.
It is a great honour to receive this prestigious award “REVA Life Time Achievement Award” on the occasion of Founder’s Day celebrations of REVA University.
I am extremely happy about the great advancements achieved by Dr. P. Shyama Raju, Chancellor of REVA University in this regard.
Dr. Shyama Raja has always been a very hard working person right from the beginning throughout his career.
I am thoroughly familiar with his hard work that he used to put as a construction engineers early in his career.
His construction of “Hyperbolic paraboloid shells of 15m x 15m grids with 75 mm shell thickness” on top of the City Centre (City Market) Bangalore has won international recognition.
Many of the well known foreign structural designers, who visited Bangalore always had a look at the hyperbolic paraboloid shells constructed by Dr. Shyama Raju and they have all acclaimed the work of the Shell Structure. Mr. William F Baker (Bill Baker), Burj Tower fame, USA, Prof. Kawaguchi, Japan, Prof. Maria E. Moreyra Garlock, Professor, Princeton University, USA and many others have all praise for this unique structure constructed by Dr. Shyama Raju.
Dr. Shyama Raju later on focussed in educational programme and he has done extremely well with his full dedication. I know the amount of efforts he has put in to it, is really marvellous and fabulous.
I am sorry I am not able to receive this prestigious award personally today due to virus situation.
I wish the Founder’s Day function a grand success.
