The Department of Media Studies, School of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences, hosted an alumni guest lecture on 23rd April 2021. Torsa Sanyal a 2019 passed out student of Masters of Journalism gave a talk on “Prospects of Public Relations in the field of Hospitality Industry”. The two-hour event was a great success with participation from more than 100 students and faculty. Torsa Sanyal, working with UKN group of companies in Whitefield, Bangalore delivered a detailed talk on the current importance of public relations as an industry. She spoke in detail about the current job opportunities in the field of PR. The students gained insights about various aspects of public relations and also hospitality industry. The session was organised by Prof. Odeal D’Souza.
