The School of Arts & Humanities organized an Industry Expert Lecture on “Career Opportunities in Tourism and Hospitality in a Post-Pandemic World” on 26th August, 2022 through online conferencing platform, Microsoft Teams at 2pm. The resource person for the event was Ms Bhavani Arun, a certified Psychometric Test Professional, certified International Trainer and Coach and a certified emotional coach and a Travel Advisor. The lecture was organised for the students of Arts and Humanities. 35 students attended the session. The resource person emphasized on aspects of Domestic and International Tourism market, she also has stressed upon Job opportunities and career options in Sustainable Tourism, Global Tourism Organisations and Medical Tourism. The session was exceedingly informative and the students attained assurance and insights particularly on the various job opportunities and market trends in a Pandemic time. The topic was pertinent to the Tourism courses and oriented towards job opportunities in this niche field for Tourism students. The lecture ended with a ‘Question and Answer Session’ that was both informative and inspirational. The students approached the resource person with specific queries, which were clarified effectively.
