The School of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, REVA University, in association with the Karnataka State Fire and Emergency Services, Yelahanka, Bengaluru, successfully organized a “Fire Safety Training – Ensuring Safety in Electrical Environments” program on 25 April 2026 for teaching and non-teaching faculty members. The training session was conducted at Room No. 310, CVR Block for the theory and discussion sessions, followed by practical demonstrations at the REVA University vehicle parking area. The program aimed to enhance awareness and preparedness regarding fire safety practices, emergency response procedures, and hazard prevention in electrical environments. Experts from the Karnataka State Fire and Emergency Services provided detailed insights into fire prevention techniques, handling of fire extinguishers, evacuation procedures, and safety protocols to be followed during electrical emergencies. The practical demonstrations offered participants hands-on experience in operating firefighting equipment and responding effectively to emergency situations. The interactive sessions helped faculty members understand the importance of workplace safety, risk assessment, and emergency preparedness in educational and industrial environments. The event was successfully coordinated by Dr. Ananda M H and Prof. Doddabasappa N, Assistant Professors, School of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, whose efforts ensured the smooth conduct of the program and active participation from all attendees.
