Industrial Visit for 6th Semester to Varahi Underground Hydroelectric Power Plant

The School of Electrical and Electronics Engineering is pleased to announce an upcoming industrial visit to Varahi Underground Power House, a hydroelectric power plant located in Hosangadi Proper, Karnataka. This visit is exclusively planned for 6th-semester students and is scheduled to take place on March 27th, 2023.

The Varahi Underground Power House is an impressive hydroelectric power plant that generates electricity by harnessing the power of flowing water. It is a significant source of renewable energy and an excellent example of sustainable power generation. The visit to this power plant is an excellent opportunity for students to gain practical knowledge and exposure to the functioning of hydroelectric power plants.

During the visit, the students will get a chance to explore the plant's facilities, observe the various stages of power generation and distribution, and interact with the plant's technical staff to understand the plant's operations better. The students will be able to observe the various components of the power plant, including turbines, generators, transformers, and other control systems.

The visit will also provide students with a real-world understanding of the various concepts and theories taught in their curriculum. Students will be able to witness first-hand the practical applications of electrical engineering principles, including power generation, transmission, and distribution. This visit will help students to connect theoretical knowledge with practical applications and build a strong foundation for their future careers.

The School of Electrical and Electronics Engineering is committed to providing its students with opportunities for practical learning and exposure to real-world situations. The industrial visit to Varahi Underground Power House is one such initiative aimed at enhancing the students' learning experience and preparing them for the challenges of the industry.

The School of Electrical and Electronics Engineering is excited to offer this industrial visit to Varahi Underground Power House for its 6th-semester students. We are confident that this visit will be a valuable learning experience for the students and will help them gain a deeper understanding of hydroelectric power generation and its practical applications.
