IPR Awareness Workshop 2026

The School of Management Studies Research club-SHODH in association with University Industry Interaction Centre organized an IPR Awareness Workshop 2026 titled “From Idea to Ownership: Understanding Intellectual Property Rights for Future Managers” on 16th March 2026. The workshop aimed to create awareness about the importance of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) in protecting innovation, creativity, and business ideas in today’s knowledge-driven economy.

Resource person: Mr.Heramb A, Assistant Professor. School of Legal Studies., REVA University.

The session introduced students to key concepts such as patents, trademarks, and copyrights, along with the ethical aspects of using intellectual property. Real-life examples were used to help students understand how intellectual property exists in everyday situations and why it must be protected.

The workshop successfully enhanced students’ understanding of:

The significance of IPR.

Different types of intellectual property.

Protection of academic and business ideas.

Ethical issues like plagiarism.

Feedback indicated that while the session was useful, students expected more technical and legal insights.

Overall, the workshop contributed to developing knowledge, critical thinking, ethical awareness, and entrepreneurial mindset among students.
