In this talk series Dr. Abhay Jere, Chief Innovation Officer, MHRD Innovation cell and Ms. Shradha Sharma, Founder and Chief Editor, YourStory.com discussed the following points:
- Ms. Shradha Sharma left the job at CNBC and started YourStory.com on 2008. Ms. Shradha Sharma, Founder and Chief Editor, YourStory.com explained what motivates to start the YourStory.com. As of now YourStory.com completed 12 years.
- After starting YourStory.com first 3-4 years faced the lot of challenges 20082015 she not got the any investment towards YourStory.com. Because of the big competitions in digital platform and no one is ready to invest the money towards the digital platform.
- In 2015 YourStory.com raised the 1st fund from Kalari Capital, TATA Group, Mohandas Pai Groups and 2nd time fund raised by TATA Group and Berkely Group.
- In 2008-2010 there is no Team and Shradda is handled by alone and in 2010 Students Inters hired and 2015 to till date total 135 people are working in YourStory.com
- Currently YourStory.com Establishing the business in Global regions like Germany, US, Korea etc. once this Covid crisis finished South East region also covered
- Also Ms. Shradha Sharma explains her failures and how she overcome with failures and how she established YourStory.com in global level.
- Also she started new platform for Covid 19 crisis and also started and created the new stories related to Covid crisis.
