National Science Day - 2023

 National Science Day is a regular event which is practiced every year at REVA University to ignite the young minds towards science and research for the development of technology.

This year we celebrate the National Science Day was observed on 2nd and 3rd of March 2023, with the theme “Global Science for Global wellbeing”, declared by the honorable Prime Minister of India Mr. Narendra Modi ji. It is a two days event inaugurated by the Vice Chancellor Dr. M. Dhanamjaya, The Registrar, Dr. N. Ramesh, Prof. Shilpa B.R., Deputy Director, School of Applied Sciences and the chief guest and key note speaker Dr. Reji Philip, Professor, Light & Matter Physics, Raman Research Institute, Bengaluru. Dr. Reji Philip gave a talk on the Raman effect and the life history of Sir. C. V. Raman during the inaugural event. This was followed by various activities like Painting, Coding, Collage, Debate, Model exhibition, Ideathon, Quiz and Best out of Waste were organized parallelly around a central theme. 

About 300 student participants from various institutions like KLE group of institution, MES, Jain University, Kristu Jayanti College, BMSIT, Vivekananda College, etc including REVA University participated in various competitions and won the prizes. The valedictory started by the address by the Guest of Honour Dr. Shashidhara BP, Retired Scientist, DRDO. Pro-Vice Chancellor, Dr. R.C. Biradar and registrar Dr. N. Ramesh, graced the occasion. The event was concluded by the prize distribution to winners.
