National Youth Day Celebration By REVA NCC Wing

On the eve of National Youth Day (On eve to honor the birth anniversary of SWAMI VIVEKANANDA), REVA University NCC cadets, Rovers and Ranges (Scouts and Guides), and RIPU College students, Kattigenahalli, came together and participated in a significant event - a Walkathon aimed at raising awareness on two critical issues: Drug Abuse and Cyber Crime. The event, hosted by the North East Division of Bengaluru City Police, was a commendable initiative to commemorate the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda.

The Walkathon commenced at 8:30 AM from the Yelahanka New Town Police Station Circle. Participants walked with carrying banners and placards conveying messages against drug abuse and cybercrime.

The Walkathon successfully achieved its objective of raising awareness. Participants, armed with banners and placards, effectively communicated messages against drug abuse and cybercrime to the community. The event transformed the streets into a platform for open dialogue on these pressing issues.

The presence of distinguished guests, including Bangalore City Police Commissioner Sri. B Dayananda IPS,  Deputy Commissioner Sri. Laxmi Prasad IPS, and Actor Anuprabhakar, added gravitas to the event. Their speeches and informative sessions contributed significantly to educating participants about the consequences of drug abuse and the importance of cyber security.
