Plaint Writing Competition

The Literary & Debate Society of the School of Legal Studies, REVA University, organized a “Plaint Writing Competition” on 19 May 2026 at Hegde Seminar Hall. The competition aimed to enhance the drafting, analytical, and advocacy skills of law students by providing practical exposure to legal writing. Participants drafted plaints based on issues related to Civil Disputes, Contract Law, and Tort Law, demonstrating their legal reasoning and application of procedural law principles. The event was coordinated by Dr. Sana Humd and Miss Mili Gupta.

The competition enabled students to develop a better understanding of plaint drafting, including the structure, cause of action, jurisdiction, reliefs sought, and legal arguments. It strengthened their legal writing, analytical, and advocacy skills while promoting research aptitude, logical reasoning, and professional legal communication. The event also enhanced students’ confidence in court-oriented drafting and encouraged practical learning beyond the classroom.
