The ACCA Orientation Program held on 6th February 2026 provided students with a comprehensive introduction to the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) qualification. The session was led by Gaurav Siyal, Manager at Ernst & Young, who explained the structure of ACCA, eligibility criteria, exemptions, exam pathway, and global career opportunities. He emphasized the importance of aligning optional subjects with career aspirations, such as choosing Audit and Insurance for students aiming for a career in auditing. The session also highlighted the value of reviewing examiner’s reports to avoid common mistakes and improve performance.
The speaker guided students on effective exam preparation strategies, recommending 3 to 4 months of systematic study per paper using study texts, exam kits, and specimen papers. Students were encouraged to set realistic daily and weekly goals, practice writing or typing, and plan well in advance, as exams are conducted four times a year. The session also clarified that failure in one paper does not affect others, reducing exam-related stress. Additionally, information on internships based on company requirements was shared, motivating students to gain practical exposure alongside academic learning. Overall, the program helped students gain clarity and confidence in pursuing ACCA as a professional qualification.
