Title: Report on Alumni Meet “GERMANY ALUMNI CHAPTER”

Description: The School of Electronics and Communication Engineering, organized a “GERMANY ALUMNI CHAPTER” on dated 19-07-2020 through the MS Teams platform from 7:30 pm -9:00 pm (IST). The ceremony was started by Prof. Nataraj Urs and was proceeded by Dr. Rajashekhar C. Biradar, Director, School of ECE, introducing the Chancellor, Registrar, and faculty and staff of ECE to the Alumni from Germany.
From school of ECE around 30 Alumni who are staying in different parts of the Germany starting from First batch Alumni(2008) to recent batch Alumni participated in the interactive online meet.
A video showing a glimpse of the growth of the REVA from REVA Institute of Technology to present REVA University was shown to the gathering. The alumni had a one-to-one introduction about the testimonials and their current place of work/study, thereby getting to know each other.
The Registrar welcomed the alumni, congratulated them, and explained the role and importance of alumni. He also mentioned the alumni to visit the University and share their ideas for further growth.
The Chancellor then addressed the gathering and explained the completion of Semester-End Examination, and Virtual farewell ceremony during the pandemic situation. He also explained the achievements and awards which were added to the cap of REVA University.
The Assistant Director then rendered the vote of thanks and concluded the formal session by wishing them to be safe.
Later Alumni had informal interactions with the faculty and expressed their concerns and views on the current requirements of the industry, and the need for having project based education system in the university curriculum.
Director at the end concluded the meeting by thanking everyone for their active involvement and enthusiasm in further action plans to be made.
In this regard, we would like to thank our beloved Chancellor, Dr. P. Shyama Raju, for his valuable presence and providing all facilities and support to conduct this programme. Registrar Dr. M. Dhanamjaya, for his motivation, help, and support to conduct the GERMANY ALUMNI CHAPTER. We also thank our Director, School of ECE, Dr. R C. Biradar, and Assistant Director Dr. K M Sudarshan for their constant support and always motivating us to organize such events in the School of ECE. We thank our ECE faculty & staff and all the Alumni core committee members for their timely help in conducting this event.
