Agenda: To help build a bridge between seniors and juniors through a series of workshops by the senior students.

Participants: 78 Students, REVA University School of Architecture.

Competitions and NASA club of School of Architecture had arranged a workshop/ Expert talk on Abstraction for the students of B.Arch..

Key concepts covered: 

•    Highlighting the important aspects of Abstraction
•    Fundamentals of morphing basic shapes into new, less literal forms
•    Understanding how emotions play a role in design
•    understanding the concept of color symbolism

Methodology: 
•    Interactive presentation, step by step guide to evolve the abstraction from the basic shapes

Agenda discussed:
The workshop focused on understanding importance of  

•    Abstraction and different shapes
•    Process of evolving abstraction from the basic shapes
•    Lines and emotions
•    Blending different shapes
•    Color Symbolism
•    Highlighting the important features
•    Outlining and different stationary to be used.

The workshop was an introductory session for students to explore and discover the world of abstraction through the process of evolving from the basics. This session helped students to explore the fundamentals of morphing basic shapes into new, less literal forms and understanding how emotions play a role in design, as well. This will ultimately help them to create more focused, innovative, and human designs. Students were encouraged to explore different techniques and develop their own style. The workshop ended with a positive feedback from students.
