Alumni interaction session with the New batch: An end is just another Beginning

Students: Alumni Batch-2015 and 1st semester students 2020-21

We the School of Architecture, as part of Alumni Student Mentorship Programme have conducted an event “Samarthana 1.0: An End is another new beginning” and interactive session between our first Alumni batch of 2020 and the new batch of 2020-2025, on 9th January 2021.
This session was conducted to motivate the new students by sharing the lessons of inspiring Architectural journey by the Alumni batch at the School of Architecture REVA University. Students have shared their perspective on the importance of always being in the learning mode. This platform has given foster meaningful mentoring relationships between Alumni and current students, like a buddy system wherein the super senior batch take on role of guide and mentor to one or more first semester students.
• Firstly, the event started up by giving Introduction in brief about the event from our student shreya of 8th semester followed by the Welcome speech by our Director in charge Prof.Vidya Srikanth.
• Played a five years journey video of our Alumni students which was prepared by our 5th semester student Samuel.
• We utilized this platform for showcasing the work of “Abivruddhi” by glims of Video and brief about it by our faculty Asst.Prof Nagaraja and insisted our students to improve the intake of adopted school and support financially, conducting activities, construction of the building etc.
• Our Alumni shared their journey experience through out there course and also experience in REVA with the first semester students and guided them.
• First semester students also shared their thoughts about why they choosen Architecture and also why REVA in their perspective.
• Certificates of Appreciation were issued for Highest CGPA Holders, Best Product Design Groups and also Best Thesis award was given to Our Alumni Students.
• Our Visual art club students gave a precious and special gift of “CARICATURE” of each student done by them to our Alumni.
• The event was more colorful with the addition of cultural programme from our 1st and 5th semester students
• Followed by the Vote of thanks from Prof.Shubhi Sonal
Students were ask to move to the department for High Tea and it was also good to see that our alumni students visited all the classrooms and recall their memories spent and they clicked the pictures, they were very happy and enjoyed the event.
