The School of Commerce organized an industry seminar on “Understanding the U.S. Tax System: A Practical Guide for Students and Faculty” on April 27, 2026, at the C.K. Prahalad Seminar Hall. The session commenced with a welcome address by the Student Co-ordinator, followed by the introduction of the resource person. Mr. Nishanth S., an experienced Tax Associate Director at BDO RISE, delivered an insightful and informative session on the structure and functioning of the U.S. tax system, covering key concepts such as federal and state taxes, tax filing procedures, compliance requirements, and career opportunities in taxation. The session was highly interactive, with participants actively engaging through questions and discussions, making it a valuable learning experience for both students and faculty members.
