The School of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, in collaboration with REVA University, organized an enlightening seminar on "Awareness on Quality Assessment in NBA/NAAC Accreditations" on 6th June 2023. The seminar aimed to familiarize participants with the crucial role of Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) in higher education institutions and provide insights into the accreditation procedures followed by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) and the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). Dr. Bishnu Prasad Dash, Dean of IQAC at Sri Sri University, Bhubaneswar, served as the esteemed resource person for the event.
The seminar's highlights included an inaugural session that emphasized the significance of IQAC in promoting quality assurance and continuous improvement in higher education. Keynote presentations by renowned experts shed light on NBA and NAAC accreditation procedures, IQAC formation, functioning, and responsibilities. Additionally, representatives from well-established institutions shared their best practices in establishing and maintaining effective IQACs, focusing on data collection and analysis, stakeholder engagement, quality enhancement initiatives, and documentation processes.
The seminar fostered a comprehensive understanding of the importance of quality assessment in NBA/NAAC accreditations and provided a platform for networking and knowledge sharing among participants from REVA University and other colleges. The event aimed to enhance the quality of higher education institutions by equipping participants with valuable insights and best practices in establishing and strengthening IQACs.
