The Cultural Club, School of Arts Humanities & Social Sciences of REVA University conducted Singing Competition on 26th April 2021 through online conferencing platform, Microsoft Teams. There were around 40 participants. Students from various programmes participated in the event with great fervour and enthusiasm. It was an individual event. Every participant was given 1 minute time limit. The criteria for judging were vocal quality, good tone, and suitable time. They were allowed to sing from any genre and in any language with or without karaoke or background music. The judge was overwhelmed by the good singing of the participants.
The faculty coordinator was Dr. Radha D R. The judge for the event was Prof. Sompurbha from School of Arts, Humanities & Social Sciences. The winners of the competition were Rose Sherin (II Sem BA JEP) - I Place, Hannah (II Sem. Bsc BBG) and Deyir Lombi (MAJ) -II Place. Elizabeth (MAJ) and Annette A Thomas (II Sem Bsc BBG- III place) The students expressed their joy for creating a platform to hone their singing skills. They were very excited to participate in the upcoming Singing Competition.
