SPARSH and the POSH Act, 2013

An orientation programme on SPARSH and the Prevention of Sexual Harassment (POSH) Act was organized on 30th July 2026 at C.K PRAHALAD AUDITORIUM to create awareness among students regarding workplace ethics, gender sensitivity, and the prevention of sexual harassment. The programme commenced with a welcome address by Dr NAVIN VIJAY Sir and Dr NITU GHOSH who highlighted the importance of fostering a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment within educational institutions and workplaces.

The resource person Dr BEENA G,registrar(evaluation) of REVA UNIVERSITY provided a comprehensive overview of the SPARSH initiative and explained the key provisions of the Prevention of Sexual Harassment (POSH) Act, 2013. The session covered topics such as the definition of sexual harassment, rights and responsibilities of individuals, the role of the Internal Committee (IC), complaint and redressal procedures, preventive measures, and the importance of maintaining dignity and mutual respect in academic and professional settings.
