Objective
The objective of this session was to create an interest among the students in the areas of designing the Power Converters. The session was to bring awareness on what the future of power supply system design in PV systems, radar systems, satellites and the skill sets the students need to acquire.
Session Report
The technical talk was hosted by Prof. Sowmya C H, School of ECE, and she welcomed the distinguished speaker and all the participants.
Mr. Bhoopendra Kumar Singh took over the session. Initially he started by thanking the Chancellor, REVA University & Director, School of ECE for the opportunity given to him to address the students. He shared his expertise in the area of power converters. He covered the introduction to power electronics, applications of power electronics in PV systems, radar systems, satellites. He also shared basic concepts of how to design a power supply. Students were highly enthusiastic about this event The event came to an end with discussion of doubts with the students and resource person.
On behalf of School of ECE, We would like to thank our beloved Chancellor, Vice Chancellor for providing all the facilities and support to conduct such events. We also thank our Director, School of ECE, Dr. R.C. Biradar, and Assistant Director Dr.Sudarshan K M for their constant support and guidance and also we thank all our ECE faculty members for the encouraging the students to attend the technical talk.
