Theatre Workshop, 12th and 13th September
The first part of the workshop was conducted by Mr. Ramith Ramesh. He's a graduate in Kutiyattam from Kerala Kalamandalam. He's also a part of the renowned theatre group Lokadharmi in Kerala. Presently he's pursuing his acting oriented Diploma programme in ITI, Singapore. He made the students conversant with vaiouswarmup stretches and theatre games followed by work on body and rhythm. The session concluded with devices for body formations.
The second part of the workshop was handled by Vivian Sodo from France. She is an actress, singer, ballet dancer and classical arts performer. She is a member of various Improvisation groups in France. She presently works as a physiotherapist and coordinator of Arts festivals. She started the session with a theatre game including body movements, sound variation and concentration. Later she made students do transition exercises from animal movements to human. She also made students do improvisations in different patterns such as - Detch Square, Musical improv, American Dubbing, Thematic improv etc.
