The School of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences organised a Webinar on “Understanding Visual Mechanics of Graphic/Comic Narrative Medium” on 29th April 2021 through online conferencing platform, Microsoft Teams. The resource person for the event was Dr. Prakruthi H.N, Post Graduate Centre, Jyoti Nivas College (Autonomous) Bengaluru. The lecture was organised for students and faculty members of REVA University as well as other colleges and universities. The resource person accentuated that graphic/comic narratives were deeply rooted in social and cultural practices. She elaborated on how the visual narratives are the sub genres of Visual Studies. She elaborated on the latest genres and contemporary research areas in the field of Visual Studies. The audience was extremely intrigued by the lecture. The session opened new possibilities for the students to work on this upcoming area of research.
