Vedic Governance and Public Finance – Lessons for Today’s Tax Practitioner

The Centre of Excellence – Indian Knowledge System, in association with the School of Legal Studies, REVA University, is organising a two-day workshop titled “Vedic Governance and Public Finance – Lessons for Today’s Tax Practitioner”.

The workshop aims to explore ancient Indian principles of governance, ethics, and public finance as outlined in Vedic and Dharmashastra texts, and draw meaningful insights for contemporary tax practice, policy-making, filing of income tax returns, understanding tax incidence and fiscal responsibility. This would be highly beneficial for law students as it builds foundational understanding of governance, ethics in finance, and roots of administrative systems. The workshop fosters cross-disciplinary learning and will benefit students aspiring for careers in taxation, finance, policy-making, and public administration.
