A group of 15 students accompanied by a faculty visited the UK to attend the Summer School Programme conducted by the University of Strathclyde, UK from 28th June to 28th July 2019. With this, we close the University of Strathclyde registrations.
Students from the School of Architecture, REVA University went on a 10 days educational tour to Spain. The tour included a 5-day exclusive workshop by ETSAB Barcelona followed by the next 5 days of site seeing Barcelona and Valencia.
Barcelona Step-By-Step, a workshop by Escola Tecnica Superior d Arquitectura de Barcelona (ETSAB) was organized between the 15th and 19th of July 2019. The workshop was led by Prof. Hofert Karin, supported by teaching assistants Alex Gimenez, Estel Ortega and Judit Taberna. It was an intensive programme comprising several courses addressing specific urban and architectural themes. It focuses on the varied sections that shape a town. Reading public space and analyzing growing patterns helped to understand the identity signs of different tissues. By using Barcelona as a case study students will be able to apply the obtained knowledge to other places and circumstances. The workshop comprised lectures, field trips, studio work and group discussions. The key feature of the workshop was, that both the students and the teachers got an opportunity to work with multinational (Spanish, Turkish, and Chinese) students and teachers.
A group of 3 students from the School of Mechanical Engineering visited Dubai for 6-day Certification Programme at Curtin University, Dubai from the 11th to 16th November, 2019. With this, we close the Curtin University registrations.
