Event: Relevance of Applied Theatre & Hip Hop Music: The Post Pandemic
School of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences of REVA University has conducted a One-Day Workshop on ‘Relevance of Applied Theatre & Hip Hop Music: The Post Pandemic’ on 19 Dec. 2022 in the physical mode Venue: Central Library Audio Visual Seminar Hall. There were 38 registered participants. Students from various programs participated in the event with great fervor and enthusiasm. The workshop highlighted the ‘Basics of theatre: voice, body, movementhe, dramatic reading, Comprehension & Improvisation, Social Skills and Life Coping Strategies, Hip Hop being part of daily life, Healing power of Hip-Hop. The resource persons were Dr. David Wesley, Practicing Theatre Professional Asst. Professor, Madras Christian College, Chennai and Ankush Jain, India's first Multi-Instrumental Beatboxer, Ted X Speaker, & Clinical Music Therapist. As an added benefit, we had the privilege of having Mr. Sumukh- Healthcare Professional Research Scientist who works with Hip Hod and its medical use. The Workshop coordinators are Dr. Vijaya Supriya and Prof. Ajesh C. The students expressed their joy in creating such a platform to hone their skills. They showed their enthusiasm and excitement to participate in the upcoming events on the similar line.
