JRF Position in Chemistry/Physics//Material Science

Applications are invited for the Junior Research Fellow position for the DST project entitled “Development of High Rate and Low Discharge Intercalation Material Devices For Capacitive Desalination" at the Dept. of Chemistry, School of Applied Sciences, REVA University, Bangalore, Karnataka, under the guidance of Prof. D H Nagaraju.

The objective of this project is to synthesize various intercalation materials and their use in Capacitive Desalination Devices

Qualification and Experience:

  • M. Sc. in Chemistry/Physics/Material science. Candidate should have obtained at least 60% marks in qualifying degree examination.
  • Preference will be given to CSIR-UGC NET (JRF/LS) or GATE qualified candidate.
  • Candidate having experience on nanomaterial synthesis and electrochemistry will be given preference.

Stipend

The JRF will be paid stipend as per norms and qualifications. The salary and appointment terms are consistent with the current rules for Ph.D. degree students.

Duration

Initial appointment for one year, extendable up to 03 years based on performance. The objective of the 03 years position should be aimed at obtaining a Doctoral Degree (Ph. D.) at the REVA University, Bangalore, Karnataka with peer reviewed publications and granting of the patents.
