Eligibility Criteria

Passing in PUC /10+2 with Biology as mandatory subject. Scoring at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST category) from any recognized Board/Council or any other qualification recognised as equivalent there to.

Overview

The three-year undergraduate programme offers in-depth knowledge in preclinical subjects such as Biochemistry, Pathology, Microbiology, Haematology, while introducing the basics of handling medical laboratory equipment. 

Medical Laboratory Technology is a branch of Medical Science that involves performing of clinical laboratory investigations, which is the first step in the diagnoses of any disease, for treatment and prevention. 

The programme, through extensive training, nurtures students to work in different clinical diagnostic laboratories. 

The students of B.Sc in BMLT are trained to work in laboratory management through practical sessions, internal assessments, viva-voce, and internship training programmes/clinical postings in all the semesters. Professionals in this sector play an important role in collecting, sampling, analysing, reporting, and documenting clinical investigations.

To offer learning experiences in professional set up to  students, REVA University has associated with Elbit, Teekays Diagnostics, Central Laboratory, Baptist Hospital and Columbia Asia, where students will gain hands-on experience via clinical postings.
