Candidate should be above 16 years of age or 10th/ SSLC Pass

Candidate should have undergone training of two years in Carnatic Music.

Overview

The Diploma programs are vocational courses offered by the School of Performing Arts in the genres of Dance, Music and Indology. The School offers the dance forms of Bharatanatyam, Kuchipuḍi, Mohiniyāṭṭam, Odissi, Kathak, Carnatic and Hindustani genres for its Diploma courses. The students of these programs learn the theoretical aspects of the art form along with the practical aspects which is the need of the hour. We are currently living in an era where the performing artistes need to have a strong theoretical understanding of the art form they are pursuing to enable them to not just understand the intricacies of the art form but also to acquire a voice to talk about it on social platforms and also to pass it on to the next generations. The Diploma programs of School of Performing Arts and Indic would instill in its students an enthusiasm to teach the subject at the elementary level and ensures that they become confident performers.
