Cancer Awareness Program

School/Department : National Cadet Corps (NCC) in association with School of Applied Sciences, REVA University

REVA University NCC Wing in association with the School of Applied Sciences hosted the Cancer Awareness Program at Krantivira Sangolli Rayanna Railway Station (Majestic) on 15th November 2022. NCC cadets and volunteers have actively participated in the event.

In order to conduct Cancer awareness among the public, the flash mob was organized by NCC Cadets and Volunteers. In this flash mob a story of a common man who is suffering from cancer is shown, he realises that if the treatment of the cancer was known than the treatment would have become really easier for him and his family. Cancer treatment is curable if it is diagnosed at the earlier stage if left incurred cancer treatment can’t be cured. There are many free treatments given by government diagnosis at the earliest will help in curing cancer. Cancer can be cured, fear from cancer should be avoided instead quick medication and diagnosis need to be considered. Diagnosis at the earliest is the key to treatment.

The session was addressed by Prof. Renuka Madhu and Dr. Manjula K.R and Dr. Munegowda ANO of NCC REVA University. At last, the NCC students were taken for the round of Railway station to create awareness about cancer. Interaction from the public showed that it really benefitted the people and society. Overall, the social message of Cancer awareness reached the society.

It was our extreme privilege to thank Divisional Manager Kusuma Hari Prasad, Medical Superindent Dr.Shobha Jaganath of Krantivira Sangolli Rayanna Railway station for provided the permission to host the Cancer Awareness program at KSR Railway station.

We thank our Hon. Chancellor, Pro-Chancellor, VC, Commanding Officer Col.S.K.Singh of 39 KAR BN NCC, Pro- VC’s, Registrar and JCO’s for the encouragement, guidance and support in hosting the event successfully.
