SPARC is an interdisciplinary club that brings together students from multiple domains — aerospace, mechanical, electrical, computer science, and artificial intelligence — to design, build, and launch model rockets, develop experimental payloads, perform aerodynamics simulations, and engage in research-based projects. Alongside rocketry and aerospace, SPARC also focuses on AI-driven aerospace solutions, such as autonomous tracking systems for rockets, AI-based launch data analysis, vision-based drone navigation, and predictive flight modeling.
The club strives to foster innovation by providing hands-on exposure, technical mentorship, and collaboration opportunities with national space bodies such as IN-SPACE. Through workshops, hackathons, industry talks, drone and rover projects, and technology development challenges, SPARC empowers students to convert ideas into impactful prototypes and real-world solutions.
SPARC aims to build a student ecosystem where creativity, leadership, teamwork, and scientific excellence become more than ideals — they become a way of life. With a strong commitment to contribute to India’s growing space ecosystem, SPARC positions REVA University as a hub for emerging talent in aerospace and AI-driven innovation.
The event commenced with the auspicious Lighting of the Lamp ceremony by the esteemed dignitaries. The event was graced by our Chief Guest, Dr. Vinod Kumar, Director – Promotion Directorate, IN-SPACE, whose presence elevated the significance of the occasion. The Honorable Vice Chancellor of REVA University, along with the Directors of the School of Computing and Information Technology, also joined the ceremony, reinforcing the institutional support toward student-driven innovation. During his address, Dr. Vinod Kumar encouraged students to embrace curiosity, engage in research, and contribute to India’s growing space ecosystem through innovation and interdisciplinary collaboration.
