In keeping with the tradition of REVA University, the Indian Tricolor will be hoisted as India celebrates the 74th Republic Day on Thursday, 26th January 2023. Hon'ble Chancellor Dr P Shyama Raju will preside over the event. Justice Shri N. Santosh Hegde (Former judge of the Supreme Court of India; Former Solicitor General of India, and Lokayukta - Karnataka, 2006 -to- 2011) will hoist the National Flag, at the REVA Sports ground at 8 AM. Mr Umesh Raju, Pro Chancellor, REVA University; Dr M Dhanamjaya, Vice Chancellor, REVA University will also grace the occasion.
As per the Government of India, the theme for this year’s Republic Day is “Narishakti.” REVA University believes that by encouraging women in workforce, they play a crucial role in becoming a significant force for social change. This Republic Day is also an occasion to celebrate Narishakti and women’s power in REVA, thereby aligning with the Government of India’s larger goal.
