The students from SGPP, FLS attended the Israel–India Industry Immersion Programme 2026 on 30-09-2026 at Shangri-La, Bengaluru. Thanks to Ms. Orli Weitzman and the Consulate General of Israel to Southern India for organizing a thought-provoking programme that offered valuable insights into how India and Israel have navigated challenging times while fostering a strong culture of innovation, resilience, and problem-solving. One of the most significant takeaways from the discussions was the importance of shifting our focus from employability to capability-building. The future demands greater emphasis on ideas, processes, practical application, and the ability to translate knowledge into meaningful solutions.
Preparing the next generation of innovators requires nurturing innovation, courage, rapid experimentation, resilience, precision, and a solution-oriented mindset. Equally important are the willingness to ask difficult questions, openness beyond rigid hierarchies, and maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
Such academic and industry engagements play a vital role in shaping the innovators, entrepreneurs, and problem-solvers of tomorrow. It was inspiring to learn from diverse perspectives and reflect on how collaboration between academia, industry, and global partners can drive meaningful impact.
