School of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences of REVA University has conducted an Expert Guest Lecture on “Sports Journalism on Digital Era on 14th February 2023 in the online mode. Students from Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences were the participants. They participated with great fervour and enthusiasm. The lecture gave insights enhance Sports journalism focuses on reporting amateur and professional sporting news and events. The jobs available for Sports journalists to work in all media, including print, television.
The resource person was Mr. Yash Chawla from Canada for Google as Digital Strategist. Sports journalism is a form of writing that reports on matters pertaining to sporting topics and competitions. Sports journalism started in the early 1800s when it was targeted to the social elite and transitioned into an integral part of the news business with newspapers having dedicated sports sections.
