Dr. P. Shyama Raju

Dr. P. Shyama Raju is an Indian entrepreneur, philanthropist, and educationist based in Bengaluru, Karnataka. He is the chairman and managing director of DivyaSree Developers Pvt. Ltd, Chairman at Rukmini Educational Charitable Trust, and the Chancellor of REVA University, Bengaluru. He holds prominent positions and memberships in reputed institutions across India. He is also on the board of many companies in the field of infrastructure development, charitable institutions, and welfare trusts.

As a philanthropic gesture of giving back to society what you earn from society, Dr Shyama Raju founded the REVA Group of Educational Institutions under Rukmini Educational Charitable Trust. The Group moved into the highest realm of education with the Karnataka Government inviting the Trust to start REVA University in Bengaluru.

Within a decade’s time P. Shyama Raju has been widely recognized for his contribution to academic work and holds the distinction of being the recipient of many honours and recognitions. He is a Karnataka Rajyotsava awardee and has also won several awards for his outstanding contribution towards society.

Among the many accolades, Dr. P Shyama Raju was honoured with the Education Leaders Award for 2023 at Oxford University, UK. At the event held in Dubai, he was honoured with the prestigious Sustainable Leadership Award 2023 by Asia One. He was also the Eminent Speaker for Global Green Education at the NYC Green School Conference 2023.

In 2022, he was recognised as the "Edupreneur" of the year (Social Cause & Nation Building) by R. World Institutional Ranking. He was also awarded ‘Global Sustainability Awards 2022’ for his professional commitment towards Global Sustainability by the Global Council for the Promotion of International Trade (GCPIT).
