Umesh. S. Raju is an Indian businessman, entrepreneur, philanthropist, and the Pro Chancellor of REVA University, a private University based in Bengaluru. He currently oversees the entire digitisation of the University to bring efficacy into the Operational Experience at the University apart from ensuring student engagement and experience on the campus to ensure top-class and in sync with the world standards technology. Mr Umesh apart from being the Trustee of Rukmini Educational Charitable Trust is also the Co-owner and Director of DivyaSree Developers, a private limited company headquartered in Bengaluru. With his varied exposure and travel across the world; he brings along with him to the University, a penchant for sports, technology and efficacy in operations and is responsible for the entire operations of REVA University.
Mr Umesh. S. Raju is an avid sports enthusiast. Under his mentorship, REVA has organised various sports events and programmes in and outside the campus. As part of his vision in education, Mr Umesh has ensured that the University introduces a programme in B.Sc. Sports Science and an Athlete Wellness programme at REVA. Under his tutelage, REVA University is constantly striving to adopt modern methods and technological approaches that enrich the learning experience of every individual.
Mr Umesh. S. Raju has also grabbed media attention as well as honoured with several awards. At the IDC Future Enterprises Award 2022, he received a Special Award for Digital Resiliency for his contribution to ensuring transparency of adopting technology at REVA. His knowledge and interest in technology were covered in Customer Story Salesforce. He also is a regular speaker about technology and Sports at various forums. He recently spoke at the Commonwealth Education Innovation Conference, Oxford, UK on NEP 2020 and its impact on HEIs.
