As we stand on the cusp of history, with Lok Sabha elections looming on the horizon, the clarion call echoes louder than ever: Vote for change, Vote for Tomorrow. To quote our Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi, who famously said: The very essence of democracy is that every person represents all the varied interests which compose the nation, there is no better time than today to echo these thoughts and put this into action.

Voting and voting awareness campaigns play a pivotal role in India, a vibrant democracy with a diverse population and a rich tapestry of cultures and beliefs. It serves as a catalyst for fostering a culture of active citizenship and democratic participation among citizens.

REVA University has been actively engaged in promoting voting awareness campaigns across several schools, with notable participation from the NCC cadets who pledged their commitment to vote through vibrant placards and hoardings. This initiative showcases the university's dedication to instilling the values of equality, justice, and liberty while highlighting the significance of every citizen's voting rights.

Further amplifying these efforts, the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication orchestrated "Voice 2024," a mock election campaign aimed at nurturing voting awareness among students. Through this initiative, REVA aims to reinforce civic responsibility and the importance of participating in the democratic process.

In addition to these endeavours, REVA introduced the flagship "Jagruti" contest, where students contributed to voter awareness by sharing expressive gifs on social media handles. This initiative reflects REVA's commitment to fostering civic engagement among its student body, both online and offline.
Another noteworthy event was "Yuva Samvada," facilitated by the NSS Unit of REVA, which provided a platform for changemakers to engage in open discussions. The event featured thought-provoking dialogues, creative poster-making sessions, and stimulating quiz and essay competitions, demonstrating the university's dedication to cultivating intellectual discourse and civic participation among students.

REVA University also celebrated National Voters' Day, thereby underscoring the collective power of citizens to drive change through the ballot. Through online campaigns, REVA encourages students and others to share voting experiences and emphasizes the transformative potential of active participation in the democratic process.

With a call to action directed especially at first-time voters, REVA University emphasises the importance of their participation in the upcoming Lok Sabha Election 2024. They provide a registration link for easy access, ensuring that everyone eligible has the opportunity to exercise their right to vote.
