FIVE AI is an Artificial Intelligence-based company that aims to transform the entire transportation systems of European cities to self-driving and autonomous system. They are planning to deploy driverless cars, which will be safer on the roads. The company has stockpiled and accumulated data for over 10 months such as how commuters behave on the road, which roads are less safe, the average age of a commuter, etc., for refining their statistics and the developing a faultless technology. FIVE AI has begun trials in several regions of the United Kingdom and is planning to go for supervised trials by early 2020.
Amadeus Capital Partners has already funded the company and until now, they have raised overall funding of $37.7 million. Mr. Stan Boland is the founder of the company, who is also serving as the present CEO of the company. Stan also served as the CEO and co-founder of two of Europe’s most renowned communication companies, Icera and Element 14.
Broadcom Inc. took over one company and the other has been merged with NVIDIA. The aggregate value of these companies in the market is more than $1 billion. Prior to this, Stan was appointed as the CEO of Acorn and was working as a board member at ARM. Earlier, his stints at Rolls-Royce and Fujitsu Services grabbed attention.
