On the 9th and 10th of February 2023, REVA University students from the School of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences went on an educational trip to Saklaeshpura. There were 22 students from the 1st and 4th-semester journalism and communication with Professor M.M. Manjunath. The journey began at the University of Agriculture in Hassan, where the students learned about agriculture extension activities and the role of media in the lab to land - agricultural journalism. The students saw numerous flora and fauna laboratories, as well as traditional and modern agricultural instruments. Students next headed to Manjarabad Fort in Sakaleshpura built by Tipu Sultan in the afternoon. The students explored the historical significance and the amazing view of the hills. By the end of the day, students had arrived at Bidirina Kadu Homestay, which is bordered by coffee plantations in Sakaleshpura, which is well recognized for its Hoysala architecture. The night was filled with sports and leisure activities. The following day, students left early in the morning for Agani Gudda Hills, which is known as a trekker's paradise. The students explored the mountain, taking in a panoramic view of the surrounding rice terraces and flora. It's a 3-kilometer hike from Agani Village. Students enjoyed a tough but rewarding experience. Students returned to homestay a few hours later. Students checked out of the homestay and went to Chennakeshava temple in Belur. The temple was erected over three generations and required one to three years to complete. The temple is notable for its architecture and sculpture. Students went on a tour and saw some fantastic sculptures. The tour culminated with a visit to this temple.
