Representation of Violence in Literature and Media

The School of Arts, Humanities & Social Sciences in association with Liverpool John Moores University, England organises a Two-Day International Conference on the topic “Representation of Violence in Literature and Media” (in Hybrid Mode) to address the numerous forms of violence and to create dialogues from diverse perspectives to address the issue for world peace and prosperity. As representation is a politically loaded term and intrigues the question what is selected and how it is constructed, therefore, a critical enquiry to investigate representation of violence in different domains and disciplines along with identifying intersections of it with gender, caste, class, religion, community, culture, nationality, nature and environment in forming new structures of power-play may be further explored and discussed in academic circles with theoretically informed research.
