Screening of Short Film - "Mein, Mehmood"
The School of Performing Arts and Indic Studies is organising a short film screening on February 28, 2023 at 11 AM. Independent filmmaker, Tedx performer Prataya Saha’s multiple award winning film ‘ Mein, Mehmood’ will be screened at REVA University.
The film shot in Dubai, talks about two critical subjects: the isolated lives of blue/pink collar immigrants in foreign countries and how the lack of knowledge of a popular language (English) becomes a barrier to leading a better life.
The film has toured around the world in the most prestigious South Asian film festivals in the USA before recently winning the Best Short Film prize at Kolkata International Film Festival at its Asian Premiere.
