Eligibility Criteria

Bachelors degree of three years in any stream or BE/ B.Tech. with 50% (45% in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST) of marks in aggregate from any recognized University / institution or any other qualification recognized as equivalent thereto.

Overview

MA in Advertising and Corporate Communication is a postgraduate course of 2 years consisting of four semesters. The course will help students get a thorough understanding of the various concepts linked to the field of advertising and corporate communications. This course will help the students develop requisite skills to explore and nurture their careers in  communications, advertising, marketing, PR and media agencies.

The two-year curriculum is designed in such a way that the students will write scripts, produce advertisement films and design public service advertisements. The students will also get opportunities to develop advertisements for all kinds of media such as print media, electronic media, radio and even digital media. The course will help the students develop their creative and tactical thinking abilities which are highly required in the field of advertising. In the area of public relations, the students will be trained in drafting press releases, holding press conferences and also organising events.

The course is also designed to enhance the research abilities. It will help the students delve into aspects of research in terms of quantitative and qualitative market research, communication planning research and content analysis.

In order to instil industry learning, the course is supplemented with expert lectures from the advertising and corporate communication fraternity. The students will have the opportunity to interact with the industry professionals and enhance their knowledge. For all the practical projects, the University offers the state of the art well-maintained “Media Centre” equipped with video and audio editing, voice recording and a computer lab with the latest digital software’s.

For optimum field exposure, the students will get opportunity to participate in both in-house events and outside events, such as, International film festivals, corporate, recreational and cultural events. The students will be facilitated with compulsory internship in advertising firms, event management companies, in-house corporate communication in MNCs and PR and digital marketing agencies so that they can bag highly-paid jobs.

The students will be provided with media entrepreneurship opportunities through incubation in REVA NEST. This course will also help the students to bag industry roles such as account managers, graphic designers and public relations strategists.
