Overview

Introduced in the academic year 2021-2022, the latest addition to our vast courses, this three-year undergraduate programme is designed for students who are aspiring to a career in the fields of Tourism, Journalism, and History. The programme will equip students with expertise in the tourism and hospitality sector, along with offering an edge and expertise in Journalism and Mass Communications. The programme will also make students adept at historical studies. The forte of this programme is its multi-faceted approach to preparing skilled, confident, well-groomed, and diligent graduates who are well-versed in the integral workings of the tourism & hospitality industry.

The need of the hour in the present-day automated world is for highly skilled and passionate human resources who are prepared to seek multitudinal ways to solve problems and offer curated solutions for the satisfaction of stakeholders in the industry. Though this programme is focused on preparing dynamic aspirants for the Travel and Tourism Sector, at the same time, it also offers the advantages of preparing for careers in journalism that include job profiles ranging from news journalism in print electronic and new media, public relations, and advertising to content writing and social media marketing. The captivating field of history also provides opportunities to work in museums, galleries, libraries and other historical archives and when interspersed with elements in Mass Communication provides opportunities for ethnographic documentary-making and historical video-making for broadcast and new media.
